Dungeness

I finally managed to visit Dungeness last year. A place I had wanted to visit for some time. A strange place, desolate with many items left to rust and rot. Broken winches, boats and other things among the shingle, along with sea kale and other salt loving plants. At the same time, many tourists arriving as we were leaving. This is my abstracted vision of the landscape. A long sea of shingle, odd huts in the distance, bits of greenery here and there, mostly along the verge. I have collaged with handmade papers, including some rust paper made using found objects. Available to view at Open Studios this weekend.

Size framed: H30 x W30cm Price: £150
