Before Christmas I had a session of sketchbook making. There are several kinds - your standard flip sketchbook in hardback and softback. Some with plain pages, others pre-prepared. Also some concertina sketchbooks, some with spines and some without, which means they can be used double-sided. This is all good, as I can have a small sketchbook that fits in my pocket and doesn't weigh too much. This means I will actually have a sketchbook with me when I see something, rather than it being too big to carry and therefore not having it with me.
