Reflecting on Things

I like an interesting reflection. The way it subverts the view to become something different yet somehow the same. If you like reflections and haven't discovered TubeMapper yet, I thoroughly recommend him. The subject is the London Underground and he takes photos showing symmetry and design of the Tube interacting with London and Londoners, including a number of reflections in puddles, wet pavements and windows.

I tried a few different works featuring reflections. Some worked better than others. A plain acrylic painting of a simplified Times Square, reflections from harbours in Spain. Some with more texture from reflections of the sun on the sea. These were all on small canvases and some haven't yet been painted over, but might be soon.
