I've been joining my local art group for some outdoor art over the last few weeks. This week rather than use the trees and landscape, I picked up some items on my walk across to use in a still life. These are the results. Both in pencil. One on a plain background the other on a pre-prepared background in one of the sketchbooks I made earlier in lockdown. The texture from the paints in the background gives this a different look and feel; taking away the certainty from some of the lines.
