Boats

The shapes of architecture are not the only thing that fascinates me, but shapes in general. Usually the way they interact with one another, with the light and colour. These are some early collagraph monoprints. The top row are of boats piled on top of one another in a corner of the harbour at St Ives in Cornwall. It seemed a slightly odd thing to do with the boats, but did provide a good view of the hulls and the light shining off them.


The one below is of boats beached in the Isle of Wight. The building, I believe,

was from somewhere else entirely - artistic licence!


All these small prints (approx 13 x 8cm + mount) are still available mounted at £10 each.
