I have been reviewing my prices, as up to this point I have priced each piece individually according to my mood at the time. This came about as in preparing for shows I discovered some items that are very similar with wildly differing prices and along with wishing to ensure I cover my costs I have decided it is time to put a pricing system in place.
The best system I’ve found is a price per square centimetre and to vary that according to the amount and type of work involved. This means that prints are cheaper per square centimetre than the acrylics, which in turn are cheaper than the mixed media and in their turn will be cheaper than any textile pieces I produce. The end result is that some pieces will now be more expensive and others cheaper (I did say my pricing had been wildly different in some cases!).
I will be introducing the new prices at the Dunmow Art Group Annual Exhibition on 5 – 6 May (probably the day before on my website). If you have seen something that you would like and were thinking of waiting to buy it at the show, please let me know and you can have it at whichever price is the cheapest.
Also, please let me know if there is something that you would particularly like to view and I will ensure that I take it along (I won’t have room for everything on the stand, but can make sure it’s there if you ask).
As a reminder, please sign up to my mailing list. Facebook can be a little weird at times in choosing what to show you, plus it can easily get lost in everything else unless you visit it often, so if you want to keep in touch with what I’m doing the mailing list is best.
All the best, I hope to see you at the show.
