This is one that I came across part done when clearing out my studio earlier this year. I started it in the early stages of working my way back to art when I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to take other than I wanted some texture in my work. This was one of my first efforts in creating that texture. Looking at it now, I could see it would be a shame to throw it away. Using mod-rock, the original idea involved wire and netting, but this pared down version made a useful landscape. Evoking memories of ski slopes, mountains, fir trees, lichen, moss and glacial water.
Titled 'Off Piste' it is mixed-media currently mounted and framed size H33.5 x W43cm with an aperture of H20.5 x W35cm, price £75.
